This year marks our 25th anniversary of providing enriched quality care for families - 25 years of bringing peace of mind to Mom's and Dad's and smiles to the faces of children, from young toddlers to school aged children alike.
In today's Canada, Daycare has become a necessity for most parents. At
LITTLE RASCALS, our approach is to provide a reassuring alternative to
standard Daycare that parents can feel good about when they are unable
to be with their children. We do this by taking the concept of
"baby-sitting" out of Daycare and creating an enriched environment that
is stimulating, educational, and socially developmental.
By far, our most popular programs are our Before and After School programs. Not only do we provide the crucial supporting role parents need before school and after school but, in a safe, positive and healthy environment, we provide a fun, educational and socially stimulating program for children which meets the new standards of Quality Care. Whether you need care before or after school, or both, Little Rascals can accommodate you.
New for 2006 is our Before and After School program based at Carmi
Elementary School. Carmi is an ideal location for this program. The
program is situated in Room 123, only a few strides from the classrooms
of all Carmi students. The classroom has it's own exterior door for easy
access by parents. The program itself is typical of Little Rascals in
that it first provides a comfortable, consistent structure and schedule.
The uniqueness of Little Rascals is the ever diverse activities that are
fresh and fun. Within the basic program structure you will find the
standard elements of the program - snack time, homework time, outside or
gymnasium activity time. Beyond the basic structure, the children
experience new and stimulating activities every day that incorporate a
multitude of elements, including:

All staff members at Little Rascals Daycare are carefully selected individuals, who are properly trained, licensed childcare professionals, all of whom have been subjected to reference and criminal record checks.
For Carmi students, the trip to Little Rascals is only a few steps away,
down the west hall to Room 123. Nothing could be more convenient. If
your child attends Wiltse or Parkway Elementary School, we
provide transportation to and from your school so that you can enjoy the
same Quality Care and piece of mind that we provide the families of
Carmi. Our central location at Carmi Elementary is convenient for
pick-up and drop-off too. Our driving staff are fully qualified class 4
license holders. Our 12/15 seat shuttle buses are licensed
for transporting children and are regularly inspected and maintained to
the highest standards.
A fully completed and signed registration form must be submitted with a
deposit (refundable) by a parent or guardian before a child is
considered as registered and can attend. Please familiarize yourself
with the Terms of Admission (last page of registration form) as well as
the Policies and Procedures when registering. Each month's fees are due
on the 1st of that month. A deposit (refundable) in the amount of half a
month's fee is required at the time of registration. The registration
form and all other documents can be picked up, mailed, or send an email

Government subsidy is available to parents who qualify. The application has to be made with the Ministry of Social Services. The subsidy authorization form needs to be submitted to LITTLE RASCALS by the 1st of the month along with any portion of the monthly fee not covered by subsidy.

Snack foods, milk and juice are provided by Little Rascals. We provide a
period of time for children to work on homework after school with
support and help from our caregivers as required. Parents are asked to
supply suitable clothing for outdoor activities in all types of weather
as well as a change of clothing.
While your child is enrolled at LITTLE RASCALS, we encourage a day to day dialog between parents and staff, relating events of interest in your child's day, or any concerns that you or the staff may have. If there are any problems you wish to address, please feel free to discuss them with us. We will always try to address personal concerns and provide assistance with respect to any particular needs of your child.
