Thank you for considering LITTLE RASCALS for the crucial role of providing Childcare and Early Childhood Education for your child. 2007 marks our 26th anniversary of providing enriched quality care for families - 26 years of bringing peace of mind to Moms and Dads and smiles to the faces of children, from young toddlers to school aged children alike.

In today's Canada, Daycare has become a necessity for most families. At LITTLE RASCALS, our approach is to provide a reassuring alternative to standard Daycare that parents can feel good about when they are unable to be with their children. We do this by taking the concept of "baby-sitting" out of Daycare and creating an enriched playful environment that is nurturing, educational, socially developmental.

The Little Rascals approach is unique. We don't limit ourselves or our children by strictly adhering to one of the hip childcare philosophies. Children are very dynamic and are growing up in a very dynamic world. At Little Rascals, we recognize this and tailor our programs accordingly. In a comfortable, safe and nurturing environment, our programs revolve around an academically enriched structure that is geared to stimulate the social, physical, intellectual and emotional development of your child. Around this "basic" structure we weave a diverse Quilt of Programming that is always fresh and fun. Each day, children experience new and stimulating activities that incorporate a multitude of elements. Some of the various ways that children enjoy our playful programming are:

Children participate and express themselves with storytelling, singing and discussion, sometimes with special visitors.

Each classroom has multiple learning centres, each with a specific focus that is rotated regularly. In small groups, children visit the various Learning centres during the day and learn through the playful activities at each station.

Children learn and play along with special computer personalities. All of our classrooms are equipped with modern, safe computer stations - no internet access.

In addition to our regular programming, children at Little Rascals experience a wide variety of Special Activities at and away from the Daycare. Additionally, during the summer months, we further enrich our School-Age programs to include multiple weekly field trips and other special activities to make the summer even more fun.

SPECIAL VISITS Police Officer, Letter Carrier, Zookeeper, Elmer the Safety Elephant, Magic Show, Guest Story Teller, and others too! EXTRA-CURRICULAR Swimming, Bowling, Tennis, Floor Hockey, Skating, Basketball, Sports Days, and more.

Little Rascals operates 2 modern Childcare facilities in North Vancouver in the Upper Lonsdale, Delbrook area which provide the equivalent of 5 classrooms for Childcare purposes.

Our award-winning primary location is co-located with the Delbrook Recreation Centre and has a special history. Little Rascals is proud and honoured to have formed a partnership with the Delbrook Partnership For Quality Childcare Association - a non-profit parent group. Together, in 2003, with the support of the Municipal and Provincial governments, we built this new 5000 sq. ft. Childcare Facility for our families. The unique design makes maximum use of limited land area to create the equivalent of 4 classrooms plus supporting space. The facility was designed with the healthy environment philosophy. Indoor spaces are large and are brightly lit with copious amounts of natural lighting and the air is cooled, heated and filtered with state of the art technology. Our outdoor spaces include small and large fully equipped playgrounds in a safe and beautiful environment. Our primary facility provides care for ages 3 to 8.

Our nearby second facility is designed for our older children - ages 8-9. It is a 1000 sq. ft., a beautifully lit modern space adjacent to the forest and parks. Both our facilities work together to provide a seamless continuum of care for all our children as they age from 3 years old until they graduate in Grade 4-5.

LITTLE RASCALS DAYCARE is one of the few Childcare Providers that practices the Continuum Of Care philosophy. At Little Rascals, your family can count on uninterrupted Quality Childcare for every child in your family from the age of 3, in our age 3-5 Daycare Program, all the way through to Grade 4 or 5, in our Before and After School Programs.

Each program is tailored to the age specific needs of the children in the group. Ages within a group range between a 1 to 3 year span which helps create an ideal social environment for each child. All programming is tailored specifically to the age based needs and interests in the group. Each group is supervised and programmed by an experienced, specially qualified Childcare professional, specifically trained and experienced with the age group in the program. Along with an assistant supervisor and additional caregivers, our caregiving teams provide the best in care and Early Childhood Education for all the children in the group. All staff members at Little Rascals Daycare are carefully selected individuals, who are properly trained, licensed childcare professionals, each having been subjected to reference and criminal record checks.

For families with children in Kindergarten through grades 4-5 who attend nearby Braemar, Carisbrooke or Larson Elementary Schools, Little Rascals provides transportation to and from school. This convenient service, which is included in our Childcare fee, alleviates the need for parents to find transportation for their children as well as adds a significant element of safety for children who might otherwise have to walk to and from school and remain alone at home after school. Our driving staff are all fully qualified class 4 license holders. Our modern 15 seat shuttle buses are licensed for transporting children and are regularly inspected and maintained to the highest standards.

The first step in enrolling your child at Little Rascals is Registration. To register, please request our Registration Form and our Registration Guide - this can be quickly accomplished by email ( ). A properly completed and signed registration form is required before a child can be registered. Please carefully follow the Registration Guide to ensure your registration is accepted with no delays. Due to the immense popularity of our programs, we strongly recommend registering 1 to 2 years in advance, if possible. Little Rascals Childcare fees vary depending on program and whether full-time or part-time. Sample full-time fees are listed below. Childcare fees are due on the 1st of each month. For parents who qualify, Government subsidy is available and will cover a portion of the childcare fee. Subsidy applications must be made with the Ministry of Social Services prior to program start.
