caregivers in the same room. 20-25 children. 1000 sq. ft. fully equipped room, plus kitchen, etc...

QUALIFICATIONS AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE
DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT STUFF?
To succeed at Little Rascals you must be a special individual who loves interacting with
and teaching children. You must be able to interrelate and work effectively with the rest of the
Little Rascals team too. You must be a responsible, quick thinking individual. You must be patient
and respecting. You must be able to work in a group environment with 2 or 3 other caregivers and
as many as 25 children. Preparatory and organizational skills are essential. In order to maintain a
stimulating and nuturing environment that is fresh and fun for children you need an open mind
as well as creativity and the ability to engage the children while earning their respect. You will also
work outdoors regularly including going on fieldtrips and visits to our playground. You must be
safety concious and demonstrate good judgement at all times.
As a caregiver at Little Rascals you will also need to communicate effectively with parents, children and
with staff while solving problems as necessary.
At Little Rascals all employees are given more resposibility and opportunities over time. Such
opportunities include roles in supervision and administration.
Little Rascals is one of the better paying childcare providers on the North Shore. We provide health benefits
for employees as well as holiday and sick time. In addition to alloted vacation time, all employees
are off from Christmas to New Years.
Qualifications
Experience and qualifications are the
most important factors in employment applications to Little Rascals.
Applicants who are ECE certified (Early Childhood Education) and
applicants with relevant experience (Group Daycare, Group Before & After School Care) are considered first. ECE students are also
given a higher standing. Although we prefer individuals with ECE, that is not required
for some Before and After School positions.
